Early this year, investment management counsel David Tittsworth authored an article published by Law360 discussing 10 things to watch at the SEC during 2018. As a follow-up, on July 27, Law360 published a second article authored by Mr. Tittsworth that examines where the SEC now stands and where it appears to be going in terms of rulemakings that affect the asset management profession.
“For anyone who expected the SEC to be essentially dormant in terms of its asset management rulemaking agenda since Clayton’s term began, nothing could be further from the truth,” Mr. Tittsworth states in the piece.
The article, titled “The SEC’s Evolving Asset Management Agenda” discusses Commissioner transitions at the SEC, the Commissions Standard of Conduct Proposals, the latest asset management regulations on the horizon, and other asset management initiatives.
“If you were expecting a boring year, the [article] demonstrates just the opposite,” notes Mr. Tittsworth.
