Ropes & Gray represented K2 Insurance Services and Lee Equity Partners, LLC in an agreement to sell K2 to Warburg Pincus, a global growth investor. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The announcement was made December 1 in a press release.
K2 Insurance Services, an insurance services holding company, is a portfolio company of Lee Equity, a growth oriented middle market private equity firm. K2 owns and controls a diverse set of specialty program administrators and services over $1 billion annually in niche commercial and personal insurance premiums.
The Ropes & Gray team was led by private equity partner Scott Abramowitz, and included benefits & executive compensation partner Danna Kivell and counsel Christa Sanchez, finance partner Andrea Hwang, tax partners Adam Greenwood and Alyssa Kollmeyer, and litigation & enforcement partner Samer Musallam.
