Ropes & Gray represented Audax Private Equity in a strategic growth investment in Salon Lofts, a developer and operator of company-owned salon suites. The investment will support Salon Lofts as it meets growing demand from Beauty Care Professionals who are seeking individual space outside traditional salon models. The announcement was made November 30 in a press release.
Based in Columbus, Ohio, Salon Lofts has over 210 stores across 10 states, and provides nearly 5,500 Loft Owners access to private salon suites. With the support of Audax, the unique salon-suite model aims to expand its footprint through acquisition, new unit openings, and service offerings.
The Ropes & Gray team was led by private equity partner Kendrick Chow, and included finance partner Gregory Bauer, benefits partner Loretta Richard, litigation & enforcement partner Thomas Brown, and employment partner Richard Kidd.
