Jessica L. Soto, counsel in the litigation & enforcement group, has been honored on LatinVex’s 2022 list of Latin America’s Rising Legal Stars. The list recognizes attorneys for the scope and prominence of their work in Latin America and future potential.
Jessica’s practicefocuses on high-stakes, high-profile internal and government-facing investigations; complex civil and criminal litigation; and risk assessments and compliance uplifts. Jessica advises her large and diverse set of institutional and individual clients on the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (“FCPA”), Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (“RICO”), Anti-Kickback Statute (“AKS”), and laws pertaining to sexual misconduct and workplace harassment. She also advises clients on advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion. Jessica engages in various pro bono work and civic activities, including serving as vice-chair of Por Cristo, which provides medical care to underserved women and children in Ecuador.
Jessica’s professional experience, along with her Spanish fluency, make her strongly positioned to advise clients in the Latin America region. Jessica frequently shares her insights and expertise with the media, commenting in and writing for outlets such as Bloomberg, Law360, and Society for Human Resources Management. She also served as the lead associate in the launch of the firm’s Enforcement Express, an interactive web-based site offering resources for examining corruption risks and enforcement environments worldwide.
